New Yell Ad
For those of you who old enough to remember the old Yellow pages TV advertisment which consisted a dear old man named J R Hartley. The charming old gent who used the Yellow Pages to track down a copy of his own book, the iconic advert has been given a digital-age makeover.
The much-loved advert has been given a brand new make-over with the old man been replaced with a DJ named Day V Lately (you already see the close connection) hunting for a dance track and the old yellow pages book been replaced with a simple phone application.
The remake of the 1983 original follows the former DJ on the hunt for his lost 90s dance record using Yell, the service that Yellow Pages has transformed into online.

See the remake
I was never a huge fan of the original but love the way they have adapted the same scenario with the remake, they've managed to bring it up to date while staying true to the original one. With a clear message, that they are still delivering the same service but have diversed into new technological methods of using it.
